Company
President Bob Doppelt formed
FACTOR 10 Inc. due to the growing
need for concrete solutions to help public and
private organizations adopt thinking, perspectives,
and behaviors that foster sustainable development.
After years in the field, Doppelt concluded that
although a good deal of information existed about
technologies and policies that can help reduce
environment and socio-economic effects, very little
useful information or assistance was available
to help organizations learn how to transform their
cultures and governance systems to incorporate
those measures.
FACTOR 10
Inc. was created with the explicit purpose
of setting the standards for cost-effective, practical,
systems-based approaches to organizational change,
governance, and leadership to reduce risk, increase
competitive advantage, and operationalize sustainable
development.
Our approach to
organizational diagnosis, governance, leadership,
and change has been described by Bob Doppelt in
his book Leading Change Toward Sustainability:
A Change Management Guide for Business, Government,
and Civil Society (Greenleaf Pubishing, United
Kingdom).
Our Approach
to Sustainable Development and Organizational
Change
FACTOR 10
Inc is a pioneer in the field of systems
approaches to organizational change, governance,
and leadership development for sustainability.
We are educators and problem solvers. We use a
teamwork approach to help our clients understand
how their existing production and organizational
models may place the organization at risk. We
also design and support the introduction of systems-based
strategies that continually reinforce positive
movement toward socio-economic and environmental
sustainability. We are committed to quality, attention
to detail and personalized service. We only provide
services that reduce risk and increase our clients’
environmental productivity and economic competitiveness.
If we can't meet these objectives to our clients’
satisfaction - we do not charge for our services.

Our Clients
We are not a traditional
environmental or organizational development consulting
firm. We do not help companies manage environmental
risks through standard EH&S or compliance
programs. Nor do we help organizations implement
“reengineering” or “downsizing”
programs. We assist clients from the growing number
of the public, private, and community sectors
that realize that increasing competition in the
marketplace and growing concerns for environmental
quality and social equity create opportunities
for those who position their organizations ahead
of the mainstream through ther adoption enhanced
environmental productivity and sustainable development.
